Oil exploration and expenditure is focused on the North; World Bank is focused on the North, agriculture is focused on the North, WHO activities and international humanitarian assistance from the Gates Foundation to Clinton Foundation are focused on the North, Nigeria budget is focused on the North, Loans from World Bank and IMF are focused on the North. Loans and aid from Arab banks, Middle East countries are focused on the North. Loans and aid from Western nations like USA, Germany, France, UK, Canada, etc are focused on the North. Loans and aid from Asia countries like Japan, China, South Korea, etc all focused on the North. Every medical assistance and educational assistance, infrastructural assistance from every part of the world to Nigeria is focused on the North. There is poverty and diseases in the South that are not getting foreign assistance because the current government continues to direct those bodies to solely focus on the North. Yet the defenders of President Buhari continue to deny that he is not ethicist or sectarian in the face of mounting evidence at home and abroad. The World Bank just unwittingly exposed what Buhari told them behind closed doors. . This shows Nigeria is not a nation where one region is struggling for development by stealing the wealth of other regions. The poverty in the North is man made; it results from their feudal culture. The North has been in power since 1960, how come they are poor and being marginalized? Igbos used the little they have to pull themselves out of poverty. Even Boko Haram is self-inflicted. It is Northerners themselves that created, funded and pretending to be fighting Boko Haram. Now, they have gone to the sacked villages to go and prospect for oil. Who is deceiving who? Anyway, I blame the South for our stupid ethnic rivalries while the North pillage and exploit our resources for their own benefits. The problem is deep rooted than Buhari. And by the way, you can’t unseat a man like Buhari who has nearly consolidated absolute power. Any real opponent to Buhari is in danger, and woe betides the youths of the North who are fanatical about him. The Southern problem is that we are always short-term and untactical with our actions. We should never have worked against IPOB. We should have used it as a stick to humble the North and get it to the negotiating table and restructure Nigeria. Now, we are just bare handed. What a pity!
