MFM FC suffered her first defeat in five games following a slim 1-0 loss to ABS FC in their Nigeria Professional Football League match-day seven fixture at the Kwara Stadium Complex on Thursday.

Samuel Oyedeji scored the winning goal from the penalty spot 17 minutes from time after Ebuka Anakwe was tripped in the box by Stanley Okorom in the box.

Despite the defeat, the Olukoya Boys remains in second position on the table four points behind surprise leaders Plateau United, while ABS moved from fourth to third position.

In the other NPFL game played yesterday, Mfon Udoh scored the winner as Enyimba recorded a 1-0 win against Akwa United.

Udoh netted the decisive goal with a spectacular volley from 20 yards eight minutes from time.

The Peoples Elephant moved from fifth to fourth position on the table, while the Promise Keepers stay in the 19th position.
