The members of the Enugu State Chapter of Correspondents Chapel of Nigerian Union of Journalists(NUJ),has conferred on the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA),Prof. Peter Umeadi Outstanding Award As Pillar of Justice.

According to them, the decision to confer the award on him was arrived after a through assessment of Prof.Umeadi’s activities during and after his years of service as a high court judge and as a Chief Judge of Anambra State.

They said that as journalists practicing in Enugu state and south east geo-political zone, they were glad to note that even several years after leaving office as a chief Judge, Umeadi had continued to push for justice for his people, particularly the Igbos, adding that they think that was what was driving him to aspire for the office of the president of Nigeria in the next election.

According to them, it is in recognition of that the chapel deemed it necessary to recognize and appreciate his good works with the award to encourage to do more.

They said that the award would be presented to him at the last day of Chapel’s Press Week on October 14,2022.
