Obafemi Akinsola, stage name is OBHE, says that his dad is his biggest inspiration to making music. According to the artist when asked what inspired him to make music, he said: My big inspirations comes from my pops and my uncle, my Pop was a choir master in church and a pianist, he even made some records of his own, but he didn’t release them. Watching him do all these things while I was a kid is a big one for me; and then when I left my parents’ house after secondary school I went to my uncle’s house who is a rapper and owns a studio, I started learning how to make beats in his studio. So my Pop and uncle played a big role in my life.
The native of the ancient kingdom of Ibadan in Oyo State, Obhe is a musical talent that believes his rhythm, melody and composition are what makes him a great musician.
Obafemi Akinsola after living most of his life in Lagos state Nigeria, was asked if he was mostly self-taught in terms of making music; He said “Making music for me is not self-taught, I went to music school and some people actually shaped me from listening to them, I have been opportune to be in the studio with some of the A list artists in the country.
The musical act has amassed experience in the music industry, honed his musical talent and skills, also constantly working to improve himself and dish out good music to his fans.
According to Obhe, he has a lot of overarching philosophy that he hopes to communicate through his music. Obhe is very active on social media where he shows his lifestyle outside of music and keep his fans up to date with the happenings in his musical career. He is steady creating a niche for himself and says he is here to stay.
