The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi has promised to build a new Nigeria free of poverty and insecurity if elected the President of Nigeria.

Obi stated this while addressing his supporters in Birnin Kebbi , during his presidential campaign to Kebbi state.

“This country is a great country with landmass and courageous people; we can feed ourselves if we truly harness our potentials for better. I will also invest heavily in education and ensure that unemployment becomes a history in this country as our youth will be gainfully engaged in empowerment programmes,” he said.

Obi who also promised to address security challenges bedevilling the country, especially the North, said, 75 millions Nigerians who are youths are solidly behind him.

“This year’s election is different as it is based on competence for I and my running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, are going to restore the glory of the country with commitment. We can’t do it without your support,” he said.

In his remark, the state LP governorship candidate, Mr Gambo Paul-Tashe, urged the people to vote for Labour Party, promising that they would never regret their decision if they do so.
