Players of Go Round FC of Omoku, Rivers State will get N.2 million for each goal scored against Heartland FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL) clash billed for the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, Imo State.
President of the club, Felix Obuah, who made the pledge ahead of the game for both teams, seeking promotion to the Premier League next season, also promised to pay his players double away win bonus should they beat their hosts in front of their home fans.
The result of today’s game will determine whether one
or both sides would get ticket(s) to campaign in the elite league next season from the Southern Conference.
As part of his efforts towards motivating his team, Obuah, popularly called Go Round, had provided 15 commuter buses to convey 200 supporters to Owerri to cheer the players to victory.
“Go Round (the club’s president) has promised that every goal scored will attract N.2 million and their away bonus would be doubled if they win the game against Heartland,” General Manager of the club, Soni Uboh said.
