As part of efforts geared at sustaining the vision of Governor Ibikunle Amosun-led administration on affordable housing and urban renewal, the Ogun State Housing Corporation (OGSHC) has begun the redevelopment of a 3,130sqm site located along Ibara GRA-Onikolobo link road in Abeokuta.

The General Manager and Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing Development, Arc. Olajumoke Akinwunmi who stated this in an interview in Abeokuta, said the redevelopment of the site at Ibara which was proposed to have 12 premium units of 4-bedroom townhouses had been designed and being constructed to meet best standards using concrete finished polystyrene walls to achieve durability, sound and heat proof.

Akinwunmi, in a statement signed by her Media Aide. Mr. Shakirudeen Bashir, noted that the project was intended to give value to homeowners by harnessing the benefits of communal living as each house has its own access gate.

“When finished, each unit will have 3-large en-suite bedrooms and a maid’s room attached to the rear. They will be delivered with good specifications internally and externally. The project has generated a lot of interests and elicited purchase offers.” she said.

The GM revealed that the project was being executed by a partnership between government and Deluxe & Partners.

The CEO, Deluxe & Partners, Arc. Oladele Olaleye confirmed that the project would be delivered at the beginning of 2018, as workers had been deployed to site, saying that construction was in compliance with best international practice in building.
