Two monarchs in Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State, have given their royal blessings and endorsed the governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Dapo Abiodun.

The monarchs, the Onidofa of Idofa,  Oba David Aremu Adeyanju and the Oloola of Ilara, Oba Samuel Alabi Adeluyi, announced their endorsement of Abiodun on Thursday, when the APC governorship candidate visited the traditional rulers in their Palaces, as part of his ward-to-ward campaign to Imeko-Afon local government.

Speaking at his Palace, the Onidofa, described Abiodun as the right candidate to succeed the incumbent governor, urging him to run all-inclusive government, if he is elected as governor.

Oba Adeyanju also advised Abiodun not to fail to deliver on his electoral promises and ensure people are the centre of his administration.

Onidofa said, “You shall be victorious at the poll and I implore you not to forget the people around you. I urge the people around you to also always advise you appropriately. When you get there, please don’t forget our area, we need schools, electricity, industries and jobs for our youths to curb smuggling. I also urge you not to lie to people when you get to office, God will crown your efforts and you shall be victorious on this journey”.

Also, the Oloola said Abiodun has the capacity to lead the state and deliver goodies of democracy. He further urged the governorship candidate not to forget Imeko-Afon local government in the scheme of things,  when he gets to office.

“God has destined you to be our next governor in Ogun State and you shall get there by the special grace of God. As it has been highlighted to you, don’t forget us when you get there because we have always been supportive to the APC and we will continue to stand by the party”. Oba Adeluyi stated.

Responding, Abiodun, said he had taken notice of all the demands of and assured them he would work and act on the demands, if he emerges as the next governor of the state.

He, however, urged them to appeal to their people to support and vote APC candidates at the polls, promising not run a government of deceit if he’s allowed to govern the state.
