Students at the on-going Summer Camp at Akin Ogunpola Model College, Akinale in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State are to be acquainted with basic skills and knowledge in basic arts and crafts for an all-inclusive learning and training.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who stated this through the Press Officer Ministry Of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Kayode Oduyebo, while hosting the campers, their handlers and officials of the state Ministry to a breakfast at Government House, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta, added that the success recorded at the maiden edition of the programme last year prompted government to hold the programme again.

          He assured that his administration would continue to give priority to the education sector by making sure that conducive atmosphere was provided for teaching and learning in all the State educational institutions.

          “Our government would not relent towards ensuring that good environment is provided in all our schools for both teachers and their students. For this reason, we shall continue to give premium to the education sector in our annual financial estimate,’’ Amosun assured.

          The Governor who joined the campers at Omida on endurance trek also applauded the Commissioner, Mrs. Modupe Mujota and officials of the Ministry for taking good care of the children.

          Earlier in her remarks, Mujota appreciated the Governor and top government functionaries for their support towards the success of the programme, adding that officials of the camp have enjoyed maximum co-operation from the participants.
