Leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Lagos State chapter, has condemned a purported visit of one Nnamdi Nwigwe, to Anambra State Governor, Willy Obiano

Nwigwe had claimed he acted in the name of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos.

The group, in a statement said: “Upon our inauguration, the state liaison office was our first port of call because of our good working relationship with the Anambra State Government.

“We wonder why the governor would identify with a persona-non-grata and impostor, who had neither the President of Anambra State Town Union in Lagos and Vice President, Ohanaeze Anambra, Vine Osakwe; Anambra State Women Association President in Lagos and Ohanaeze Lagos Vice Women Leader for Anambra, Dr. Nkiruka Ifekwem, on board, nor the Anambra Ohanaeze President, D. A. Okeke, who was supposed to lead such a delegation, if it was authorised by Ohanaeze.

“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to reiterate that the Lagos State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, a progressive socio-cultural organisation with the aim of protecting the interest of Ndigbo in Lagos, under the leadership of Chief Solomon Ogbonna, has no faction.

The group said Nwigwe has never stood for any election in Ohanaeze and cannot possibly be said to have been elected in any capacity in the Lagos Ohanaeze.
