The Board of Africa International Federation of Training and Development Organisations (IFTDO – Africa) has constituted an Administrative Council for West Africa  sub-region.

The appointment which is a two-year tenure renewable, has Dr. Kola Olowe as chairman while Dr. Olasunkade Azeez, Mrs. Anita Wiafe Asinor  (Ghana), Dr. Tayo George are members.

Others are Adebisi Akanni  and Dr. Olusegun Aluko who would serve as secretary and adviser, respectively, according to a statement by Mrs. Belinda Odeh, IFTDO – Africa Board Secretary.

IFTDO-Africa Board Chairman, Mrs. Janet Jolaoso, in a letter announced the creation of the Administrative Council as a veritable organ “expected to evolve a strong administrative framework to support the Regional African Board activities, projects and deliverables”.

Terms of reference for the Administrative Council (West Africa), appointed by the Board of Trustees – Africa, includes: Advise the Board of Trustees on all activities that could be carried out by the Organizations; advise the Chairman on all matters relating to association growth and expansion programmes; Act as the investigation/recommendation committee for the West African sub region and recommend members for the disciplinary committee to the Board of Trustees; Serve as a standing committee for the Executive Council and any emergency decision taken when the Executive Council is in recess or holiday shall be reported during the next Executive Council meeting and Carry out any other function as may be assigned to it by the Executive Council.

The letter further read: “It is hoped that members of the Council will work effectively to support IFTDO–Africa Board, by bringing their valued experience and net worth in Learning Management System to bear to promote and develop its growth, programmes, projects, events and other activities, the letter finally stated.
