The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, on Sunday called on Nigerians to live in peace and harmony irrespective of ethnic affiliation.

Adetunji made the call at his palace at Popoyemoja, Ibadan, while receiving the representatives of the Fulani and Yoruba communities from Oja in Ibadan.

The monarch, who condemned the recent attack on farmers by suspected herdsmen, also frowned at the attitude of grazing on farmlands.

The  delegation was led by Alhaji Yunusa Wakili and Alhaji Sulaimon Olanipekun for the Fulani and Yoruba communities respectively.

Earlier in his speech, Alhaji Yunusa Wakili, the leader of the herdsmen, had informed the monarch that his people were happy to be associated with him.

He prayed God to make his reign a peaceful and successful one.

It would be  recalled that suspected herdsmen had sacked some villages at Lagelu Local Government Area of the state recently.(NAN)
