 Oluwo of Iwo, Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi, has congratulated the Osun West Senator-elect, Adelere Oriolowo, on his victory at the National Assembly elections.

Oba Akanbi also felicitated with a newly elected member of House of Representatives for Iwo Federal Constituency, Yinusa Amobi.

In a statement by his Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem, the Oluwo described the victory as the will of God, and charged the elected representatives to run an all-inclusive representation.

“The victory is a new beginning to reclaim the lost glory of Iwoland as the bastion and home of progressives in the South West. I appeal to the elected officials to run an all-inclusive government and deliver dividends of democracy to the doorsteps of their constituents,” he said.

He said the victory will further cement the existing unity in the constituency, and admonished constituents to cooperate with elected leaders to catapult their constituency to the next level.

The Oluwo also congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice president, Yemi Oshinbajo for their re-election.

He said he had predicted the victory in 2017, while hosting the first edition of his annual national leadership prayer for the Nigeria’s stability in Iwo.
