Help is on the way for ailing former Heartland FC and Rangers International Coach , Kelechi Emetole  as his former captain Chinedu Efugh and  Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo Enyimba  made donations for his recovery.
Emetole , who has been diagnosed with throat cancer is in dire need of  $11,000 for an urgent surgery to be carried out in India. Daily Sun sport gathered that Omeruo donated the sum of N2 million, while Efugh made a donation of N50,000, this is even as Gbenga Ogunbote, 3SC Manager Rasheed Balogun and MFM FC have also given  undisclosed sums of money for the ex-international.
It was also gathered that the Chief of Staff to the Imo State governor, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has equally identified with Emetole’s plight by donating N300,000.
Emetole, a defender during his active days and fondly called Caterpillar, played for Nigeria at the 1976 Nations Cup in Ethiopia. He has also served as assistant coach in the national teams;  the U-17 world champions, Golden Eaglets of 1985, and Flying Eagles and Super Eagles.
Meanwhile,  Emetole family is appealing for more support from well-meaning Nigerians through the United Bank for Africa (UBA) account details made public recently.
