Following the recent sack of Jones Erue-led state executive committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State by the Federal High Court, a leader of the party in the state, O’tega Emerhor has advised Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to stop parading himself as senator-elect.

The court presided over by Justice Toyin Adegoke, which declared the plaintiff, Cyril Ogodo, as the authentic chairman of the party in the state, had nullified the primaries that produced Omo-Agege as senatorial candidate of the party.

Omo-Agege, however, faulted the judgment on the grounds that there was no declarative order from the court for his certificate of return to be withdrawn by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Emerhor insisted that he remained the authentic candidate of the party for Delta Central Senatorial District.

He said: “I emerged as the Delta Central senatorial candidate against Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who emerged from the Jones Erue exco which the court has now declared illegal.

“Legally and physically, you can’t build something on nothing. Omo-Agege built his candidature on nothing and it has given way and has collapsed.
