A governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN has   appealed to  aggrieved members of the party to sheathe their swords  in the interest of peace, even as he described his gubernatorial aspiration as God’s own project.
Jegede who made the appeal at the Ese Odo Council area when he visited PDP members to appreciate their overwhelming support in the governorship primaries also received unanimous endorsement of the people for the November poll.
Speaking at Igbekebo, where the people in their numbers defied a downpour to receive him  at the community’s town hall yesterday, Jegede  promised to leverage on the human and natural resources in the area to improve their socio-economic well-being.
“Irrespective of what is  in the public domain regarding  a purported division within our great party,  we must tell the whole world that we are united while the minor disagreement will be resolved in no distant time. This is how to tell the opposition parties  in Ondo State that there is no vacancy for them at the Alagbaka Government house.
“Let’s all come together to enable us emerge victorious in November because this is God’s own project which is why everything has been working for our good” Jegede said.
Speaking on behalf of the people, the Ese Odo Council chairman, Barrister Timi Sobijor,  said with the riverine area being a strong hold of the PDP and the dividends of good governance under Mimiko led government,  Jegede’s victory is a sealed deal.
