Indications have emerged that the leadership crisis rocking the Ondo State House of Assembly may soon be laid to rest as efforts are being intensified by stakeholders to reconcile the two warring factions on the House and resolve the feud among the lawmakers.

Daily Sun reliably gathered that traditional rulers and other Leaders of Thoughts in the state are already making moves to reconcile the two factions in the Assembly.

It was also gathered that the state Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko had met with some political leaders in the state on ways to resolve the crisis in the state parliament amicably.

The efforts to reconcile the lawmakers, it was gathered, led to the alleged visit of some political leaders in the state to the factional Speaker, Hon Malachi Coker in his hideout outside the state.

Coker and the 12 lawmakers had since last week relocated to an unknown location in Oyo State for alleged fear of being attack.

Also, it was learnt that the lawmakers loyal to the embattled Speaker, Mrs. Jumoke Akindele held crucial meetings on how to resolve the differences in the House.

Governor Mimiko, who was allegedly making moves to settle the differences among the lawmakers, was also alleged to have made moves to meet with Coker’s faction.

The moves, if honoured, may bring an end to the feud in the House of Assembly before the inauguration of the Rotimi Akeredolu’s administration on  February 24.

Already, the crisis in the Ondo State House of Assemble has caused sharp division in the parliament leading to the emergence of two Speakers.

Mrs. Akindele was suspended alongside her deputy, Hon Fatai Olotu by 13 lawmakers following allegation of fraud leveled against her.
