Ondo State governmemt has imposed curfew on Ode and Isinigbo communities in Akure South Local Government Area of the state following violent clashes by residents of the communities.
The two communities had engaged in violent clash as a result of an agelong land dispute between them.
The clash between the two communities was escalated last week as the palace of Asigbo of Isinigbo was attacked by hoodlums.
Also, the monarch claimed to have escaped an attempt to murder him as he jumped through the palace fence with his wives and children.
The state commissioner for Information and Orientation, Mr  Donald Ojogo said the state governor, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu approved the curfew to prevent further breakdown of law and order in the two towns.
Ojogo said the state government has also ordered a massive manhunt for perpetrators of the despicable violence.
He informed that security agencies have commenced investigations on the matter, assuring that those behind the devilish acts will soon be brought to book.
According to him, security agencies have been directed to ensure total compliance with the curfew order.
“For emphasis, both Ode and Isinigbo communities have been closed down for any unathourised human movement and activity until further notice,” the commissioner stressed.
