Former Super Eagles player, Tijani Bababgida, has said that the problem of Nigerian football is not about the indigenous coaches but the many cri- ses that have dogged the NFF.
He submitted however that Nige- ria’s qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup is hinged on the Nigeria Football Federation and other Stake- holders’ decision to hold the fragile peace Nigeria football currently en- joys.
The ex international insists that a peaceful FA and united football frater- nity is capable of inspiring the Eagles team in the World Cup qualification race.
The former Liaison Officer of the Super Eagles praised the team’s com- mitment; so far, after two matches played in the final round of the 2018 World Cup qualifier.
“The administrative shortcom- ings of the NFF and non-payment of match bonus and allowances has nev- er dampened team spirit or cause any distraction in the team. So the onus is on the NFF to reciprocate.”
He maintains that level of focus is key in the team to push Nigeria all the way through to picking the a World Cup ticket.
