The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, will lead the Nigerian delegation to the 32nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU).

The 32nd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the AU is holding in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from February 10 to 11, 2019.

The spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, George Ehidiamen Edokpa, in a statement said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, wishes to inform that the Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, will lead the Nigerian delegation to participate at the 32nd Ordinary Session of the African Union scheduled for 10th – 11th February, 2019, at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

“The key issues on the agenda of the summit include reports from Heads of State and Government, consideration and adoption of the draft legal instruments and reports on peace and security.

“Nigeria is also expected to present a report on the stewardship of Mr. President, who was the champion of the AFRICA ANTI-CORRUPTION YEAR 2018.”

Edokpa further said that Nigeria is committed to the reform process of the African Union and is expected to engage in fruitful discussions at the summit.
