Organisers Of Akwaaba Travel Market Lagos has announced the launching of a M.I.C.E and Hotel Show in the Federal Capital Territory “Abuja Jabamah”. The event is coming four years since the last Abuja BANTABA was held and shelved for obvious reasons. Bantaba was later held in Port-Harcourt in March this year. Organiser Mr. Ikechi Uko said Abuja is ready to host a M.I.C.E and Hotel event now to promote meetings, events, conventions and hospitality in Nigeria.

This event is aimed at reaching the Northern Nigeria region, by exploring tourism potentials for domestic traffic, and exposing tour operators and hotels to their foreign counterparts to promote domestic and outbound tourism. Exhibitors will be able to schedule meetings with about 70 tour operators from Abuja, Jos, Kaduna, Benue and Kano which is hoped will generate businesses thereon.

Abuja JABAMAH is scheduled to hold from November 16 and 17, with a post event tour on 18th for all delegates. The 2-day event will feature the tour operators forum, destinations marketing from various countries, training on how to start online travel business by a renowned expert, the Top 50 boutique hotels in Abuja awards as well Travellers Award to Top 50 pioneers in Abuja. The second day will feature hotel training by an expert on Digital Skills while the city tour will hold next day involving tour experience of Abuja –Kaduna by Rail with a visit to Kajuru castle and Kamuku national park.

Expected Participants are top travel agents from surrounding states, hoteliers, tour operators, State tourism boards and Destination managers.
