Seun Odofin, House of Representatives Aspirant, Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, contesting under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Osun state and Special Adviser on Administration to the Rt. Hon. Speaker House of Representative, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Thursday expressed his intension to represent his kinsmen at the constituency with a pledge to develop humanity and add more values in terms of social amenities provisions into the Senatorial district.
Speaking with newsmen on his aspiration, the intending lawmaker, charged his constituents to consider him for the position and promised not to let them down in any way.
Odofin who maintained that, he would make the constituency a virile one through his wealth of experiences, assured them of open door policy principle to be able to bring them nearer to himself and offer help where such is needed.
According to him, ” I decided to serve my people wholeheartedly with all my strength, progressive dreams and auspicious life impacting programmes that would make the constituency more transformed from its present condition.’
When asked whether his impacts had earlier been felt by the people of the constituency in the past, he argued that, in the area of rural electrification,he has restored lights back to Ifosan area in Ibokun, Orisunmibare area and Oloruntedo Yeyetutu Area both in Ijebu-Jesa who were without lights for many months through the provision of three 500KVA Transformers to these communities.
His other achievements according to him were, in the area of Youth empowerment where he claimed to have trained 150 young farmers in conjunction with College of Agriculture, Fishery and Food Technology on various Agro Allied courses and have since been graduated and certificates of participation have been awarded to each of them.
“In the provision of safe portable water, he stressed he had provided six communities in ljesa North Federal Constituency with solar powered boreholes namely ljebu-Jesa, Iwoye ljesa, Iwaraja, Eesun, Idooko, llase and Otan lle and provided 250 solar lights across ljesa North Federal Constituency while he equally paid for WASSCE fees of 23 Secondary School students in all the 23 political wards in ljesa North Federal Constituency and as many that perform well in their WASSCE examinations will be given scholarship awards up to Polytechnic/University level.
He remarked also that,First and second set of COVID-19 NISRA Loans/grants have been disbursed to ljesa North Federal Constituents courtesy while the Tuberculosis Unit Of Maternity centre ljebu-Jesa is wearing a new look now through rehabilitation and supply of necessary medical equipment through his efforts.
Odofin further listed his other score cards as,” Sponsorship of 150 students from ljesha North Federal Constituency to study agriculture, Fishery, Food technology, crop production and animal husbandry at the College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food technology-CAFFTECH, on Agro-Allied related courses.”
“Co-Sponsorship of Essay Competition in Education sector organized by the state government to mark the Nigeria’s 61st Independence anniversary,Sponsorship of the graduation ceremony of 150 indigent students from CAFFTECH who underwent 3-month intensive training in Agriculture and agro- allied related courses and establishment of international links to facilitate loans and grants through the bank of agriculture, Catfish Farmers Association of Nigeria, College of Agriculture, Fishery and food Technology CAFFTECH, FOARE Mushrooms Farms Global LLC situated at 2235 Serena Hills Drive, Ramona California 92065. USA, Donor agency and other stakeholders in Agriculture sector to all the 150 graduands of CAFFTECH”.

The aspirant who further included others as provision of Empowerment equipment such as 50 sewing machines for tailors. 14. Provision of 50 deep freezers for indigenes of ljesa North Federal Constituency, Provision of 50 Generators for artisans in Ijesha North Federal Constituency, Provision of 50 Grinding Machines for Market women in the Constituency. 17. Provision of 20 Motorcycles for Okada riders among others
