RANGERS will definitely not lack support when they storm Umuahia tomorrow for the star match of week 6 against Abia Warriors.
Indication to this effect emerged yesterday from media officer of the Enugu Flying Antelopes, Forster Chime who disclosed that a staunch supporter of the club has provided buses to convey fans from the Coal City to Umuahia.
“Chief Festus Onu has provided a luxury bus to convey our fans to Umuahia and other supporters are equally mobilizing for the game,” Chime stated in an email he sent to Saturday Sunsports.
Chime stated further that the Imama Amakapabo led technical crew has prepared the team very well for the Umuahia showdown, even as he stressed that Rangers is not ready to relinquish her leadership of the league.
“We trained on natural turf ahead of the match and the coaches have specially prepared the boys for the game which we know is going to be tough, given the fact that Abia Warriors have equally started the season on a good note.”
Rangers are presently on top of the NPFL league table with ten points from five games. Last weekend, the club secured a 1-0 home victory over Wikki Tourists after holding Warri Wolves to a draw away in Warri. The management of the club has equally reassured players and officials of State Government’s continued support and motivation.
