From George ONYEJIUWA,Owerri

Imo State governor, Rocha’s Okorocha, says President Muhammadu Buhari’s deputy, Prof Yemi Osinbajo was the best thing to happen to the administration with his feat in ensuring that there was no vacuum in governance, despite the president’s absence.

Okorocha said this yesterday during the official unveiling of his daughter’s pet foundation, ELFREEDA.

According to him,  the Acting President was a great asset to the APC government, because he had continued to administer the affairs of the country without any hitch.

He thanked the wife of the Acting President for finding the time to attend the event and begged her to extend his warmest regards to him.

Meanwhile, Wife of the Acting President, Mrs. Dolapo Osinbajo, applauded Okorocha’s daughter for establishing the foundation to cater to homeless women and children.

Mrs. Osinbajo, who was the special guest of honour at the launch in Owerri, the Imo State capital yesterday, commended her for her passion for the less privileged especially homeless women and children.

She said : “The ELFREEDA FOUNDATION was once a dream, but today it has become a reality. If we dare to dream, it will always come to pass. I know the parents of Mrs Nwosu, who themselves are deeply involved in humanitarian organisation that have been helping the less privileged in the society, so I am not surprised that their first daughter has also followed their footsteps.”

The wife of the Acting President said that this act of generosity should also be passed over to the next generation .

Earlier, Mrs Uloma Nwosu disclosed that the purpose of the foundation was primarily to provide temporary shelter for homeless women and children as well as clothing and food.
