Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo’s visit to the Super Eagles players during the evening session in Abuja on Tuesday has according to the boys, been a great morale booster in their quest to gain home victory over Algeria in the match day two of the 2018 World Cup qualifier in Uyo on Saturday.

NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi told footballlive.ng that the players were shell shocked to receive the second citizen led party and that he showed genuine interest in the team’s preparation for the November 12 World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

Osinbajo also extended the courtesy to the senior national female team, Super Falcons as they prepare for the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.

Sanusi believes that the visit was a motivation for the teams and gave them assurances that the government would do everything possible to get them excel.

Then the VP went on to put out a few tweets appreciating the Super Eagles players.

“Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting our Super Eagles while they trained for the World Cup Qualifier at the National Stadium, Abuja,” Osinbajo tweeted via twitter handle @ProfOsinbajo.

“It is undeniable that the game of football unites us as a people and nation. We are honoured by the young men and coaching staff who are tirelessly working to ensure the nation qualifies for the 2018 World Cup. We are extremely proud of you. Thank you!”
