Wife of Acting President, Oludolapo Osinbajo, has called on parents across the country to take up the responsibility of training their children at home.
Oludolapo spoke from her garden at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, in a video clip, to thousands of parents, who gathered for this year’s National Parentings Conference at Guiding Light Assembly, Ikoyi, Lagos, organised by Breach Repairers.
Osinbajo spoke of the story of King David’s children, Absolme and Thelma, his half sister, whom he defiled, in the Holy Bible.  She said the ability of fathers being there for the girl child and the mother also being there for the male child is imperative.
“Our fathers and mother should pay attention to their children to know when their character changes and to know when to come in and assist them. In the case of King David, he was more in the palace not knowing what was happening in the life of his children.
According to her, as a pastor, she will be absent from mid-week service to devote more time to the children at home and attend to their needs. This, she said, assisted in moulding their life, and today, has brought great gain to her.
