Voters in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, began trooping out as early as 6.30am to their various polling units in preparation to cast their vote.
By 7:00a.m, INEC officials also arrived most of the polling stations visited, with voters checking out their names on the list pasted at various polling units.
The situation was also the same in Ila, where former Osun State governor, Chief Bisi Akande, hailed from.
There are also several security checkpoints in Osogbo, with operatives carrying out stop and search operation, to ensure no motorists convey prohibited items to voting centres.
