Senators Ben-Murray Bruce and Dino Melaye, who were summoned by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, to report to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command for investigation are yet to show up as at the time of filing this report.

The Police boss had summoned Senate President Bukola Saraki and the two lawmakers to report to the IGP Monitoring Unit after they embarked on a protest against the outcome of the Osun State governorship elections, but later reversed the decision and asked them to report to the FCT police commissioner.

They were to report at 10:00a.m on Monday morning.

However as at 1:55p.m, the Daily Sun gathered that the two senators were yet to honour the invitation of the police boss.

A visit by Daily Sun to the police command headquarters showed that the lawmakers were still being expected.

It was also gathered that the weekly meeting of the Commissioner of Police with Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and other senior officers which started, ealier in the morning, had ended.

When contacted, the Public Reforms Officer of the command, Anjuguri Mamza, said he was not aware if the lawmakers had reported to the Commissioner.

“I dint have any information on that”, Mamza told Daily Sun.
