The All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate in the July 16 governorship election in Osun State, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, on Tuesday tendered form EC8A in Osogbo, Ede North and Ede South Local Governments.

Aside from the election results, the lead counsel to the petitioners, Lateef Fagbemi SAN, also tendered a Certified True Copy (CTC) of INEC regulation and guidelines for the conduct of elections 2022 and a manual for election officials.

He informed the tribunal that the petitioners will continue the tendering of the documents on Wednesday and finish on Thursday before they will start calling witnesses on November 16.

The lead counsel to the first respondent, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Paul Ananaba SAN, objected to the tendering of the document, saying “the documents say it is INEC regulation but it is not INEC regulation.”

Lead counsels to the Governor-elect, Ademola Adeleke, Onyeachi Ikpeazu SAN, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alex Izinyon SAN, also objected to the admissibility of the evidence and promised to adduce reason in their final address as earlier agreed upon by the parties.

The tribunal headed by Justice Tertsea Kume admitted the documents and marked them as exhibits.

He subsequently adjourned the matter till Wednesday and Thursday for tendering of documents and November 16 to commence the calling of witnesses.
