National  Secretary of Labour Party (LP), Umar Farouk Ibrahim, has raised the alarm that its supporters in Southern Kaduna were being killed by yet-to-be identified criminal elements.

He said the party viewed the killings in major strongholds of the party in Kaduna State and some parts of the country as a calculated attempt to demoralise its supporters.

However, while addressing a press conference, yesterday, the LP scribe appealed to party members and supporters to remain calm and be law-abiding.

He assured that the national body of the party was following all cases of killings in Kaduna State and other parts of the country till justice is not only done, but seen to be done.

He said: “Our great party has noticed with dismay in recent time, the spate of killings of our party supporters in Kaduna State, particularly in Southern Kaduna, which is one of our strongholds and the constituency of our governorship candidate, Jonathan Asake. We must rise to the occasion. We are calling on Kaduna State government and the security agents to bring an end to this heinous act.

“Just last week, our great party lost eight members in Kaura and Zangon Kataf local government areas respectively.
