About 5,000 members of the Kwankwasiya group, the political structure of Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, have realigned themselves with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The group, in their red caps, were received by the deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Col. Samaila Yombe Dabai (rtd) at the APC Secretariat, in Birnin-Kebbi.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, a former State Organising Secretary of the Kwankwasiya group, Abdullahi Abubakar Nayalwa, noted that the group took the decision based on the political development in the country and the landmark achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu especially  on agriculture.

“We have finally dump PDP because APC is the only government that can bring changes and unity in the country, Atiku Abubakar cannot defeat Buhari in the next election.

“We have gone to the market and the market was not favourable. We decided to returned home, with over 5,000 of our members and more are still coming by God’s grace”.

While receiving the  decampees, the state’s deputy governor commended them for making such decision to realign with APC in the state and assured them of fair and equal justice.

The deputy governor, who described their return to APC as ‘timely’, noted that they had chosen the right path.
