The recent appointment of Mr. Akideinde Oyebowale as Head, Over the Top (OTT) Music Services, has given a fillip to the MTN’s newly acquired music streaming entity, Simfy Africa.

Industry watchers believe that the appointment of Oyebowale, who joined MTN from Boomplay Music where he served as the Regional Director for West Africa, will enhance the company’s digital music streaming services across Africa and the Middle East.

Oyebowale’s career spans over 17 years primarily in consumer goods, e-business, financial, media and digital sector. He has also worked in IT, project management, strategy, product and business development, and marketing.

An award winning manager, Oyebowale holds MSc in Business Information Systems from University of Hertfordshire, a BSc in Computer Science from University of Lagos and General Music Studies Specialist certificate from Berklee College of Music.
