As at 1:50pm on Sunday, March 10, 2019, results of governorship poll in 16 of the 33 local governments have been announced, with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) winning 15 councils and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) winning in one council.
Announcement of results of the 2019 governorship poll is ongoing at the state office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Agodi, Ibadan.
Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, is the Returning Officer for Oyo State.
The announcement is being done in the presence of the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr. Mutiu Agboke, as well as service commanders, the media, agents of political parties, and election observers.
The results are being announced local government by local government, and the state has 33 local governments.
