Birthdays come once in a year. Many often make it special, others are made special by loved ones, friends and family. But the celebration takes a higher note when it’s a diamond age. That’s what the celebrated Prelate and Metropolitan Pastor of the House on the Rock, Paul Adeolu Adefarasin, is about to experience as he commemorates his 60th birthday. The charismatic clergyman clocked the diamond age on Wednesday, January 25 and a flurry of praises and encomium has been showered on the dandy preacher for being a blessing to God’s kingdom.

In a message Wednesday, Adefarasin had written: “…I am deeply grateful for my families, their extensions and the fold of friends and foes that he has blessed me with. Gosh!! Am I thankful for all…? As we commemorate 60 years in this human frame and the diamond anniversary of my birth, knowing well as it is written in the famous lyrics of John Newton: “through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come; ‘Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will” carry on. It is paramount therefore to take in the myriad of ways in which His loving kindness, unending grace and tender mercies have girded my sojourn here with His mighty kindness and favour far exceeding all I could ever have asked for. This is one of the many reasons I feel profusely thankful and gladdened to salute this milestone with my family, my fold of friends and you too…”
