Pastor raises alarm over alleged plans to eliminate, set him up

Prophet Iyke Uzukwu

From David Onwuchekwa, Nnewi

The Spiritual Director of Soul Revival Ministry, Nnewi, Anambra State, Prophet Iyke Uzukwu, has raised the alarm over his being secretly monitored and attempts to set him up.

Prophet Uzukwu said after his last press interview where he criticized some pastors who extort money from their worshippers, an unknown person had been trailing his movements.

He gave an instance of two strange men who came asking after him three days ago at his old residence. He said his former neighbours revealed that to him.

He said he was reliably informed that there were groups of people watching him closely with evil intentions.

“Apart from the pastor’s story, I have granted interviews on Tinubu, Ekweremmadu and other personalities in this country. Nobody was attacked in all my interviews. I only discussed the truth and spoke about evil in our society.

“My hands are clean and I don’t associate with suspicious characters or do busy that can lead to suspicion. I talked about how the supposed men of God extort people through prosperity preaching in their churches.

“They planned to set me up for what I did not do. I want to draw the attention of the Inspector General of Police; Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo; the State Commissioner of Police; Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN); Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN and public for them to be aware of the development, ” the Prophet said.

He wondered what it shall profit anybody to be used by the devil to eliminate a man of God.

The Prophet said his life was in the hands of God, adding that he had not come into the world to do the bidding of any man except to try as much as possible to do what would please God.

He said that those planning evil against him should have a rethink. The Prophet said anybody that had any issue with him should come forward for the matter to be settled amicably.

“I know where the wind is blowing from but I don’t want to mention names. All I’m telling the evil planners to have a rethink,” he concluded.
