Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have gone to Enugu State to meet with former vice president, Chief Alex Ekwueme.

It was said that the meeting with Ekwueme was for his input on the document on how to move Nigeria forward.

The opposition party confirmed the development on its official Twitter handle, on Wednesday.

The meeting, the party says, was to present to the first elected vice president of Nigeria with the report of the Professor Jerry Gana-led Strategy Review and Inter Party Affairs Committee.

This is to allow the elder statesman advise and make the necessary inputs as may be required on the document.

The party said: “In line with the desire of the Senator Ahmed Makarfi led National Caretaker Committee of the PDP to carry every along in all decisions to rebrand, rebuild and revitalize the PDP, the Strategy Review and Inter Party Affairs Committee chaired by Professor Jerry Gana is right now in Enugu to meet with the first elected Vice President of Nigeria, one of the founding father of our great Party, Dr. Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme, GCON, to present to him the report of the Strategy Review Committee.”

Just on Monday, February 13, the PDP leaders visited ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, former party chairman Bamanga Tukur and ex-party Board of Trustees chairman Tony Anenih to present the same report to them.
