Former Minister of Special Duties in the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN ), has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would reclaim the seat of power in Kebbi State come 2019.

  Turaki, who is a chieftain of the PDP stated this while speaking during the meeting of the Caretaker and Committee and stakeholders of the party in Birnin-Kebbi.

  He noted that  PDP now has all it takes to reclaim the seat of power which was under its control for about 14 years in Kebbi State.

According to him,“With the ongoing reconciliation and repositioning of the PDP in Kebbi State it was clear that the party would capture the government of the state from the ruling All Progress Congress (APC ) in next election”.

While speaking at the meeting, the party’s Caretaker Chairman, Sen. Hamdala Wali said the caretaker executives of the party would soon be inaugurated in the 21 local government areas of Kebbi State.

  He promised to reposition the party in the state , enshrine internal democracy that will allow people elect leaders of their choice.
He said: “We are back for good and very soon PDP’s impact will soon be felt once again the nooks and crannies of the Kebbi,” he said.

  The Caretaker Chairman called on the party members to make useful contributions to the party to ensure its victory in Kebbi State in the coming elections.
