Petroleum Publications Limited, publishers of Oilweek Newspaper and Petroman Magazine is set to roll out annual awards for players in the Oil and Gas sector tagged Petroman Oil and Gas Awards (POGA 2017) on Friday May 26 at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event is set to recognize the achievements of the players in Oil and Gas industry of the economy. According to the organizers, the event, which would be on a yearly basis, is a major step in the company’s ongoing plan to add events to her portfolio of business. The event would include the quarterly petroleum platform, where industry leaders will proffer solutions to trends and financial challenges plaguing the industry.
According to the organizers: “The Petroman Oil and Gas Awards (POGA 2017) provides platform for the Nigerian oil and gas industry to showcase their successes in the course of the year 2016 and to celebrate the advances made in the key areas of environmental stewardship, efficiencies, innovation, corporate social responsibility and heath & safety throughout the nation.”
According to the organizers; POGA 2017 received many nominations for the upcoming awards ceremony in Lagos.
The following categories of awards according to the organizers would be given out: Award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility; Award for Excellence in Health and Safety; Oilfield Services Company of the Year; Award for Local Content Excellence; Petroman Award – Excellence in Oil and Gas Industry Leadership (Petroman and Petrowoman of the year); Energy Law Firm of the year; Midstream Company of the year; Upstream Company of the year; Downstream Company of the year among others
