The remains of late Mama Briskilla Manasseh Mutfwang, mother of Plateau State Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Barr. Caleb Mutfwang have been laid to rest at her home town, Ampang West in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Late Mama Briskilla who died at the age of 88 on Sunday 20 November, 2022 at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) after a brief illness was described by sympathizers who spoke at the funeral service held at the Church of Christ in Nations COCIN, 1 Ampang West in Mangu as a caring, humbled and accommodative mother who lived her life for humanity.

Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, the PDP Governorship candidate described his deceased mother as a confident and fulfilled woman, full of faith in God.

He noted that his mother after she returned from Zaria worked assiduously for the liberation of women in her community, where she waged war against poverty.

Mutfwang noted that they will remained united as her surviving children to promote her virtues of moral principles, carrying and accommodative to all.

He appreciated the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and the running mate, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, former Governor of Plateau State, Sen. Jonah David Jang, Governorship candidate of Labour Party, Dr. Patrick Dakum and his APC counterparts, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda and YPP candidates, Hon. Manji Gontory and numerous others for commiserating with the family at their grief moment.

Mutfwang appreciated former Governors of Plateau State, Chief Joshua Dariye, Amb. Fidelis Tapgun and their Adamawa state counterparts, Boni Haruna, Deputy Governor of Plateau State and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bagudu Hirse among others for identifying with the family.

Former Governor of Plateau State, Sen. Jonah David Jang said the death of Mama Briskilla Manasseh Mutfwang has created a vacuum in the family and that her motherly advice and loved would be missed by all those who were close to her.

Jang on behalf of his family and the PDP family in Plateau State commiserates with the Mutfwang family and encouraged the children to hold on to God who gives comfort.

The funeral service was well attended by dignitaries across party lines which includes, Plateau North Senator, Istifanus Gyang, Governorship Candidate of Labour party, Dr. Patrick Dakum, member representing Mangu/Bokkos in the House of Representatives, Engr. Solomon Maren, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, member representing Jos South federal constituency among others.
