Security operatives have launched a manhunt for killers of a woman and kidnapping of three children in Enugu community.
Recall that tragedy struck on the 22 April 2019 by 11:55p.m. when a group of unknown men, allegedly with guns and the other dangerous weapons, attacked Enjuagede community in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria,  and killed a woman and kidnapped other three little children.
According to police statement, Mrs. Chinwe Edenwonu, was killed by the armed men.
The police statement further revealed that the life of Mr. Daniel Sunday Edenwonu, the son of the deceased, could be in danger as intelligent report showed that the bandits were still after them.
Part of the statement read, “Following the unfortunate incidents that happened on the 22 April, 2019, by 11:55pm at Enjuagede in Uzo Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State that resulted in the death of one Mrs. Chinwe Edenwonu and the kidnap of three little children between the age of 2 to 4year old, there has been apprehension in the community.
“So far, two members of the gang has been arrested and taken into custody. But the ringleader of the group is said to be at large.
“Investigation and manhunt for other members of the gang is still ongoing.
“The fleeing suspects has been on our wanted list over a similar case in a neighbouring community, we must truck them down this time.
The police also said that son of the deceased, Mr. Daniel Sunday Edenwonu, remains a target of the bandits who are believed to be under their watch.
“While investigation is still ongoing, the son of the deceased, Mr. Daniel Edenwonu and members of the community should remain security-conscious and report any suspicious movement in the community to security agencies.”
Daily Sun gathered that since the attack in the community that resulted in the killing of Mrs Chinwe, Daniel whereabout is unknown as at the time of filing this story.
