The Lagos State Police Command has nabbed three members of a notorious traffic robbery gang terrorising motorists and passengers on Ikorodu Road.
The suspects were arrested by operatives of Ketu Division, while dispossessing motorists of their belongings at Ile-Iwe/Kosofe, Ikorodu Road, in the Ketu area of the state.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “the suspects: Segun Olaiya, 20; Ayinde Waris, 19, and Bashiru Mohammed, 28, were arrested on Monday, September 26, while attacking some motorists by policemen on covert operation in the area.
“The suspects are currently assisting the police in an ongoing investigation to arrest other members of their gang. The suspects would be arraigned at the conclusion of investigation.
“Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abiodun Alabi, has directed that efforts would be sustained across the state towards ensuring that all miscreants are apprehended and dealt with in accordance with the law.”
