As part of his policies to project Igbo culture and traditions positively in the Diaspora, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana  and Assistant Publicity Secretary Association of Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora, HRM Eze Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu (Eze Ohazurume1) and Obi Ndigbo Palace kingmakers on Sunday 28 November crowned Chief Tony Ulasi as Eze Udo Ndigbo1of Dome-Kwabenya Local Government Area, Ghana. With his successful installation by the Paramount ruler of NdIgbo in Ghana, HRM Ihenetu and Obi Ndigbo Palace elders, as sub king of Ndigbo, the new Eze Udo becomes the cultural leader in Dome- Kwabenya Greater Accra Region, Ghana.

In his congratulatory message to the new Eze Udo, the paramount Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Dr Ihenetu, a Peace Ambassador advised Eze Ulasi to promote Igbo tradition and culture in that area.

“To win the heart of your people, you should be servant leader. Once they noticed that you are ready to serve, them, they would loyally follow you.

Our main intention of crowning you today is for you to promote Igbo tradition and culture and to encourage peaceful cohabitation among Ndigbo and their Ghanian host community.”

While thanking His Paramountcy, HRM Ghese Mantse Nii Ayi Bonte 11 for giving his royal consent for the Eze Udo to be crowned,  HRM Dr. Ihenetu advise Eze Ulasi to respect traditional laws of Ghana and  should be loyal to the kings and Queens mother of Ghana and not to challenge then at any level.

In the same vein, HRM Dr Ihenetu appealed to Ndigbo in Dome Kwabenya to be loyal, respectful to their new Eze adding that such gesture will encourage Eze Ulasi to give his best.

Equally HRM Dr Ihenetu also thanked the Mankpalo of Dome- Kwabenya for his approval for the crowning of Eze Udo Ulasi assuring that new sub king will do all he can to promote peace in the area.

On why he approved installation of sub kings, HRM Dr Ihenetu who has so far installed six other Eze Udo in Local Government, and regions in Ghana, said the sub-kings under him as their paramount King will  help direct affairs of Ndigbo in their domain.

“As the paramount  ruler of  NdIgbo in Ghana, I can not single handedly direct all the affairs of Ndigbo in that country, hence installation of sub- kings would help bridge the gap”,  HRM Dr Ihenetu concludes.
