In a bid to promote Igbo culture in the Diaspora, the Igbo community in Mekong River on the 8 of October converged at Avanna Hotels and Residence, Bangkok  Thailand to celebrate Iwaji 2022.

Because of his love for Igbo culture, HRH Ezeneche used the  occasion to launch  fundraising for the construction of Igbo language center in Bangkok, Thailand.

speaking on importance of New Yam festival, HRH Ezeneche described Yam as king of all crops. The Royal father said as such it worth to be celebrated. He added that since time immemorial, Igbo ancestors celebrated the festival which promotes love and unity among Igbo kindreds.

Furthermore, HRH Ezeneche  said the festival afforded Ndigbo in the Diaspora opportunity to also key in into the arrangements to continue to sustain Igbo culture wherever they find themselves.

HRH Ezeneche equally celebrated his Ofala as Ndigbo in their colourful attires hailed the king for his generosity and show of kindness to the less privileged.

In His remarks HRH Eze Ezeneche (Eze Nwatagwuosimiri) said the Ofala marks years of his peaceful rulership as king of Ndigbo in Mekong. He assured that he will continue to do Ndigbo proud while equally urging Ndigbo to continue to be law abiding in all their doings in Mekong.
