He noted that the zone has work hard to secure Nigeria and it was their turn to drive the country out of insecurity and divisiveness orchestrated ruling APC.
Saraki disclosed this in Jos, yesterday, an interactive session with delegates and stakeholders of the party, at the PDP Secretariat in Jos, capital of Plateau State.
Meanwhile, Senator representing Plateau North and also a presidential aspirant, Dr. Jonah David Jang, has asked the PDP to zone the presidency to the Middle Belt and not the North Central. He said the Middle Belt has suffered a lot of insecurity where several lives have perished as a result herdsmen killings.
Acting Director General of the Jang Campaign Organisation, Prof. Shedrack Best disclosed this in Jos, to newsmen, where he added that the Middle Belt has suffered marginalisation from the core North; despite its efforts in keeping the country together.
“We are demanding micro zoning to the Middle Belt, which has never produced a democratically-elected president. We have been subjected to hardship and all form of marginalization despite the critical role that we have played to secure peace and unity of Nigeria.”
