In a bid to stem the rise of drug abuse and self-medication prevalent in the society, Procold, Nigeria’s reliable medicine brand for cold, flu and catarrh in collaboration with Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) has launched a #Originalmovement campaign that seeks to educate Nigerians on safe use of drugs.

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by both parties at the 95th Annual National Conference of PSN which held recently in Lagos sealed their formal agreement as it officially kick-started the #Originalmovement. 

The collaboration is a long-term partnership aimed at embarking on a massive health education campaign and sensitising Nigerians on safe use of drugs and the need to use only original and authentic medicines as well as to dissuade the public from practicing self-medication.

Representing Orange Drugs Limited, manufacturers of Procold, Head of Brands at Procold for West Africa, Marvin Lucky, affirmed that brand had been the most reliable Nigerian brand for cold, flu and catarrh and that its endorsement by PSN is a testimony of efficacy of the brand.

The annual national conference was a remarkable success with the chairman of occasion, former Nigerian Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, GCFR, the host, Plateau State Governor, Hon. Simon Bako Lalong.

The conference also had as its Special Guest of Honour, Chairman of Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa, and other important dignitaries who also attested to the efficacy of Procold in the treatment of cold, flu and catarrh.
