Protect Nigerians against COVID-19 in Israel, Rome, NCPC Boss charge Medical team for 2020 pilgrimage

The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC),  Rev Yakubu Pam has challenged the Medical personnel for the 2020 General Pilgrimage exercise to Israel to protect Nigerians against COVID-19 and other related diseases.
Rev. Pam disclosed this during the Medical Orientation exercise for the 2020 Pilgrimage and said the exercise which will take place in Israel, Rome and Greece would be comply with COVID-19 guidelines of the respected countries.
“You must bear in mind that in discharging your duties as medical professionals you are promoting the attitude of Christ himself.
“You must therefore work hard in love to protect our Pilgrims from COVID-19 and meet other medical needs that may come up during Pilgrimage in Israel, Rome and Greece”.
Rev Pam affirmed that the selection process for this year’s Federal Medical Team was strictly on merit and expressed confidence that Nigerians would be protected from all diseases.
Chairman of the Federal Medical Committee, Dr. David Atuwo said his committee would do everything possible to provide the necessary medical care for the Pilgrims during Pilgrimage.
He commended the leadership of NCPC for the support and cooperation his Committee had enjoyed, especially in making the orientation programme possible in spite of the current situation facing the country.
He said the team is made up of 69 Medical personnel comprises  of medical Doctors, Pharmacists ,Nurses and Medical Laboratory Scientists from the six geo political zones.
 Dr. Atuwo said members of the committee were selected after a thorough and competitive online examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB inconjunction with the NCPC.
