Paris Saint-Germain have not given up hope of signing Chelsea star N’Golo Kante and are willing to top the Blues’ contract offer of £290,000-a-week to the Frenchman.

The Blues have offered to make Kante the highest paid player in the club’s history and want him to sign a new five-year deal.

Kante is just two years into his deal at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea are aware of interest from PSG and want to make it crystal clear to the midfielder how much he is valued.

There’s just nine days left of the transfer window for Premier League clubs and Chelsea are highly unlikely to consider an offer for Kante at this stage.
