The leadership of the Coalition of pro-Biafra Agitators have carpeted South East governors for keeping mum over the planned Operation Python Dance III by Nigerian Army, scheduled to commence in December.
The groups, which include Biafra Independence Organisation, Igbo Revolutionary Movement, Eastern Peoples Renewal, Biafra Clergy Network and Biafra Security Network, in their resolution, after their consultative meeting with some Igbo stakeholders, said the South East governors have failed Ndigbo for allegedly not protecting the interest of the people.
A statement signed by Emeka Ibekwe (for Biafra Independence Organisation), Philip Umenna (for Igbo Revolutionary Movement), Sunday James Achu (for Eastern People Renewal), Rev Kingsley Olisa (for Biafra Clergy Network) and Victor Akpanaka (for Biafra Security Network), said they were concerned about Biafra’s actualisation, restoration and independence.
“The pro-Biafra groups have completely lost faith in Nigerian politics; we should no longer allow our people to involve themselves in any political affairs or functions because Nigeria is projected to enslave the people of Biafra eternally.
“Having waited for South East governors to commence work on rehabilitation and reconstruction of the palace of the father of Nnamdi Kanu and non condemnation of the third phase of Operation Python Dance, which the Nigeria Army is planning to commence before Christmas in Igbo land, the Coalition of pro Biafra Agitators has withdrawn our earlier support for South East governors.”
“We have resolved that governors Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, respectively will not be returned as governors in Igbo land again. The three first term governors, Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and Willie Obiano of Anambra State have disappointed the Igbo.
