Embattled Rangers General Manager, Christian Chukwu may land into more trouble over the row involving the club and its former coach, Imama Amakapabo.

Chukwu who has already been sanctioned by organisers of the league, LMC is now to face the coaches association ethics committee.

A top official of the association confided in Daily Sunsports yesterday that the body has resolved to summon Chukwu before the ethics committee where he has to defend the role he played in the arrest last week of Imama.

“Chukwu will face the ethics committee of our association and if found guilty of playing a role in the travails of Imama, we will sanction him accordingly,” our source said.

He further disclosed that the coaches are not going to allow the Imama saga to be swept under the carpet, insisting that enough is enough when it comes to the humiliation of coaches.

“When a club is not doing well the first person club managers go for his head is the coach and they do this when they know that they have not fulfilled their obligations to the coach. Why we are not happy in the case of Rangers is that the man in charge is a coach who should have protected his colleague. It is a shame,” he said.

It would be noted that the LMC last week suspended Chukwu from all league activities, even as it ordered Rangers to pay Imama N16.7m compensation. Imama, it is recalled,  led Rangers last season to break her 32- year old trophy jinx when the club lifted the NPFL title.
