The write up, If I were Buhari, which featured in this column last week attracted many responses from people who either called or texted me from different parts of the country. I consider it necessary to give some of the reponses a space to air their views on this important subject.

NOW that PMB is back from his medical trip after many people said he was on life support, let them know that they are not his God.  Anybody can fall sick, so we should not use people’s health to play politics. Those who said ugly things about Buhari’s health should ask God for forgiveness over their unguarded comments.

We need rapid economic development and a change of the non-performing ministers to move Nigeria forward.

Wonderful piece. You have captured it succinctly. Truly, if I were Buhari, what I would have done are exactly what you have suggested. It is as if you read my mind. I am a strong fan and supporter of Buhari, supporting most of his positions, not minding their implications, positive or negative. Once they are from Buhari, carry-go.

Honestly, on this broadcast, my mentor goofed. I am sure by the time he settles down fully, and is in the right frame of mind, he realise it.

I really thank you for your write up: If I were Buhari.  God bless you. Though, you excluded the great loss of lecturers and explorers who died in active service to the nation. Not even a minute silence from Buhari.

May God continue to bless you for your sincerity. I just read your column. I wish the Special  Adviser to the President on Media and Communications, Mr. Femi Adesina, will show Buhari what you wrote.

Remain blessed.

If women like you rule this country, it will be a blissful experience. Thanks for the wonderful write up.

Your write up on Buhari was excellent. The president was in a hurry, and was wrongly advised. Moreso, he is fueling the situation.

The plain truth is that Buhari is sick and incapable of discharging his duties. The North doesn’t want a Southerner to take over power and as such continues to manage him till his tenure expires before choosing his successor. In this situation, the country suffers economically and politically.

Thanks for that write up. For me, that has been the problem with the president. He always uses harsh words, where he is supposed to be humble. Let me advise the president to be humble for once. He always uses harsh words, where he is supposed to be humble when talking to the people.

He is always talking as if the country is his private company. He should not, because the not so educated masses are shouting his praises, believe he can say anything he feels like saying.

Nigeria is spinning out of control. There is growing evidence that like a meteor, it may be lost. Unfortunately, the leadership that would have redeemed it, is abandoned by Nigerians, just like Umuofia did to Okonkwo in Things Fall Apart, because the people have sensed deception.

Federal Government should be warned that it is responsible for the ethnic hatred in the country.

We had warned severally that the Federal Government should insist that vendors and newspaper distributors should be warned by Police Commissioners and DPOs to stop selling illegal publications on Biafra which use derogatory names to refer to Northerners and fellow Nigerians.

The fire on Nigerian mountain cannot go off. It is time to restructure the country. Nigeria is not working and cannot work.

Re: Ozubulu massacre

The Ozubulu massacre in Anambra State left much to be desired about security in state. Gov. Willy Obiano achieved much in the area of security at the beginning of his government.

But, with what happened at Ozubulu on Sunday, August 6, at St. Philips Catholic Church, it is important that the governor beefs up security in more Anambra communities. He should ensure that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are brought to book very quickly.

The people of Anambra should also know that it is better to hand the state over to a person who knows much about security and economic management as has been severally shown by Gov. Obiano.  Anambra is now massively involved in rice production and export of vegetables is a plus to the economic well-being of our people.

Also, the tax exemption given to certain categories of labours in the state must never be neglected. Let’s say never again will such a massacre happen in Anambra State again.

Re: NASS and the Restructuring Debate

Never mind. If the North insists that there shouldn’t be restructuring, make no mistake, the so-called Nigerian state will become history as from 2019.
